Eleusian - The Name

Eleusian takes its name from the ancient Greek Eleusinian Mysteries, which were attended predominantly by women and involved the initiation rites into the regeneration of the mind, body and soul, and honouring the earth. Also included in the teachings and initiations were beautification of the body, regeneration of the blood, higher learning, and birth and life after death. The Mysteries, as the name suggests, were shrouded in secrecy, and consisted of traditional Greek Lore and the role of Gods and Goddesses (The ruins of the ancient city of Eleusis, where the Eleusinian Mysteries were held, still stand today approximately 10km out of Athens).Eleusian reflects the inner values of these ancient teachings and rituals, and has been developed for all who seek enhancement of the quality of life, and a desire to look and feel beautiful.
